Neurodevelopmental Practitioner and Trainee Clinical Psychologist

Email:

About Me

I am a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner (a person who is trained to conduct assessments and provide support for people with neurodevelopmental conditions). I first began working in the field of autism in 2013 when I completed a placement within an autism diagnostic unit within the NHS, and also worked with two autistic girls in a role in the charity sector, during my undergraduate Psychology degree.

Over the past 11 years, I have worked with several autistic people in clinical, charity, academic and research settings. I am fully trained in several specialist autism assessment tools and I have co-facilitated autism assessments in both private and NHS settings.

I am particularly passionate about autism recognition in women and girls. I completed a PhD at King's College London in 2022 that was titled "Barriers to Recognition, Diagnosis and Support for Autistic Women and Girls". More information about my autism research can be found under the "publications" heading.

Alongside working in the private sector as a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, I am currently completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology within the NHS. Due to this, my hours for private autism assessments are currently limited to 5-8:30pm on Weekdays and 9-1pm on Weekends to fit in with other commitments.

My personal values as a clinician are transparency, humility and compassion. I endeavour to incorporate these values in everything that I do. I appreciate that everyone I work with is an individual and strive to make my approach personal to you. If there is a way you prefer for me to communicate with you, or any adjustments you would like me to make, please do let me know!

Alongside these personal values, I am governed by the values and standards of professional clinical bodies including the Association of Clinical Psychologists (ACP - trainee membership).
